A Moment to Reflect

Hello Families,

Labor Day weekend has notoriously been an official marker for the ‘settling in‘ of a new school year. It gives us pause; time to reflect and breathe after an exciting, yet very busy first month of school. Daily schedules have been refined, routines established, and students and teachers are diving deeper into their engaging first projects, designed throughout the summer and driven by kids throughout the first weeks of school. Energy radiates from classrooms as students and staff have spent many hours purposefully building a positive culture, a culture that will continue to grow upon this strong foundation throughout the year.

As we have settled into our year, taking time to reflect and to look forward to what lies ahead, I am happy to share that Assistant Principal Cory Bartz has been back in the building. Mr. Bartz has been feeling well enough to join us on most days and has instantly played an integral part in the success of our students and staff. He has already become a friendly and familiar face throughout the building, and his voice happily greets us during morning announcements. We are so thrilled to have Mr. Bartz at Sage Canyon and he will be joining us several days a week. While we are so grateful that Mr. Bartz has been able to join us, we are still in the process of filling a temporary position to help support Mr. Bartz so that he can continue to focus on his health.

I hope that you all enjoy a long weekend with family and friends. As we take this time to reflect, I continue to be honored to be a part of our incredible community and this incredible school year.

Take Care,

Mandy
